Affordable cremation in Oklahoma City.
When someone you love dies, clear information about cremation costs can make the next decision feel more manageable. As a family-owned funeral home in Oklahoma City, we keep our prices plain: direct cremation starts at $695, and our funeral director will explain every charge before you decide.
Cremation cost in OKC varies from one provider to the next, mostly because of what each price includes. When you compare, ask whether the price covers the funeral home's basic services fee, transportation, the medical examiner's permit, crematory fees and filing the death certificate, and whether there are extra charges for mileage or weight.
Why cremation usually costs less than a traditional funeral.
A traditional funeral service often includes embalming, a casket, a visitation, a ceremony with the body present, a hearse and a cemetery plot. Direct cremation leaves those out, which is why many families choose it as an affordable cremation service. You can still hold a memorial service later, at a church, at home or in our chapel, and decide then what to add.
What's included, and what's extra.
Our direct cremation price includes:
- Removal within 50 miles of our funeral home.
- The medical examiner's permit, requested on your behalf.
- Crematory fees for the cremation itself.
- Filing the death certificate.
- An alternative container.
These are priced separately, only if you choose them: a viewing or visitation, a memorial service, an urn or other merchandise, certified copies of the death certificate, and cemetery or burial arrangements.
Talk it through with family members.
Arrangements feel easier when family members agree on what matters most. Many families start with direct cremation and plan a gathering later, once everyone can travel. Whether you're arranging for a mom, a dad, a brother or a sister, we'll take the time to answer your questions and help you plan within your budget.
