Traditional funeral or something simpler.
A traditional funeral service often includes preparation of your loved one, a visitation, a funeral ceremony and burial at a cemetery. Many families choose only some of these elements, and that's fine. We'll explain what each one involves so you can choose what matters to your family.
If you'd like a simpler path, direct cremation is our most affordable option, starting at $695. You can still hold a memorial or celebration of life later, when your family is ready.
Is embalming required in Oklahoma?
No. Oklahoma's funeral rules don't require embalming when the next of kin doesn't authorize it. Without embalming, burial or other disposition takes place within 24 hours of death unless your loved one is kept in refrigeration, and a public viewing of an unembalmed body isn't allowed after 24 hours. If your family would like a public viewing several days later, embalming may be needed. We'll explain your choices plainly.
Your rights under the Funeral Rule.
- An itemized price list. You'll receive our General Price List to keep, and you can ask for prices over the phone.
- Choose only what you want. Each service and item is listed separately.
- Buy a casket or urn elsewhere. Federal law lets you purchase funeral goods from another seller, and a funeral home can't charge you a fee for using them.
Support that continues after the service.
Grief is personal, and it doesn't end when the service does. We can help with death certificate copies, an online obituary and grief resources for the weeks and months ahead.
